Here we are all bundled up. We are in awe of the lights on Temple Square. This is one of things I miss about living in Utah. Temple Square. This is where Rocky and I were married, and where we have had several dates. This is where I went though the temple for the first time. I get teary eyed every time I set foot in downtown Salt Lake. I love the temple! I love my family!

Happy Halloween!

Ha ha ha! I know I am late, but here is our Halloween fun. We carved pumpkins with some friends. Bud carved a bad guy, with eye patch, sword, and stitches. Pinkie carved a face using the stem as the nose. They wanted to take pictures outside with the pumpkins, but an Idaho Halloween is quite cold so they are bundled in their blankets. Too cute! We headed down to Utah for the actual holiday. I must say it was a nice trip. I think we may do it again. The kids were out of school, so it worked out great. Plus, the candy in our parents' neighborhood was only the good stuff! YUM! Bud was a ninja turtle, and Pinkie was a unicorn.

Christmas Cards

Oh how I love Christmas cards! They have been rolling in all month. I love the pictures, and reading all the family and friend updates. They are so great! Normally we send out cards, but we are doing something different this year. KJane Designs awarded Rocky and I with the greatest adoption cards ever! They are so cute! (Check out her site below) What is an adoption card you ask? Well, it is just like a business card. It has our family picture on it, with information on how to find our online adoption profile, email, and contact information. What do you do with them? We pass them out to everyone we know. We hang them in our local high schools, and churches. We give them to our bishop. We leave them with a tip when we go out to eat. We always take them when we go out of town, and leave them wherever we go. We give them to our friends who may know someone who is placing their child(ren) for adoption. We give them to friends and family to do the same. In our efforts to adopt, we would love your help. If you feel comfortable passing out our cards, please leave us a comment, and I will send some your way. Thank you for your love and support! We have been hoping to adopt for 2 years, and we are excited to continue our search in this manner. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

30th year

I recently had a birthday. I turned 31. Normally I would be a bit reluctant to share my age, but this year is differnet. I survived my 30th year! I wasn't excited at all to turn 30. I always thought it was old. Looking back at this year just makes me laugh, and cry (happy tears of course). It was a good year. Full of many many surprises. Some details of this year I will not share, but here are my favorites.

-New cell phone... I love texting!

-Mother of 4 for a moment in time. I love you boys!

-Spent the summer at our local water park. We had so much fun!

-Both kids in school. Still not use to the silence.

-Rocky got an elk. I helped grind it into burger. Not doing that again.

-Rocky has a new calling. Our phone keeps ringing.

-Entertained more than ever before.

-Made some incredible friends.
-My son was baptized.
-My daughter is not a baby anymore.

-Made 190 sugar cookies, and 6 tubs of frosting.

-Renewed our home study. We are in it for another year!

Though it may not seem like a lot to some, it was to me. I left out several things that happened in our families. I do not have permission to share. This year was crazy, but good. What will my 31st year bring?
