Loving Lunch

I love lunch time at our house. R usually comes home for lunch, and he eats with the kids. It breaks up the day for us. Plus we get another meal together. It is great and the kids really enjoy it. Here, they are sharing peanut butter and honey sandwiches. A favorite at our house. We eat breakfast and lunch at the bar, and dinner at the table. I usually stand opposite of the kids so I can see and talk with them. You can also see some art project that the kids were working on. The bar is the happening place to be. LOL!

New Job

I started my first job last night. I am still in awe how easy it was. I am a new Tastefully Simple Consultant. It was so fun to have my first party. Thank you to all that came and supported me. We had a great time, and ate the best food! YUM! I love the products. I am now a working mom. HA!

Angels in the snow. It is always the first thing my kids want to do if it snows. The real angels are the ones making them. I love my kids. I love listening to them laugh, and play. They make my heart smile. It has been a trying couple of weeks at our house, and I am so grateful for their strength. I have been blessed to be a wife and a mother. I am eternally grateful. My family gives my hope. My oldest is so sensitive and wears his heart on his sleeve like me. My second babe is full of life, and reminds me daily of what a joy it is to be here. My sweet husband does not make a day go by without making me laugh. These are my angels.

Meow

Every year for my husband's birthday my sister gives him a gag gift. Well this year topped all the other gifts. She made his cake. Yes the picture of cat litter above is a picture of his cake. Gross I know, but you can eat everything in the cake. The "poop" is made of tootsie rolls that have been microwave on rolled or smashed up. There is a delicious mixture of cakes below the litter. The litter itself is vanilla wafers with loads of food coloring. We actually ate it. It took us a minute to get past the look. At first glance you want to vomit, but if you close your eyes, it was a chocolate, carmel delight! Since my husband loves cats so much, it was a great gift. We even served it with a pooper scooper.

Tagged

I have been tagged. I am supposed to write a letter to myself when I was thirteen..... Here goes...

Whitty,
Hey there! It's me, the voice in your head. HA! Thirteen isn't bad. I am writing to tell you to take better care of yourself. Your life is just beginning, and you will need your health in the future. Test your sugars, and ignore what the doctors say. You DO need to exercise daily. DO IT! Next subject, schooling. Go ahead and take the mechanics class instead of elementary ed. You will find elementary education is not for you, and you will learn later how much you will need a basic knowledge of cars.
As far as you go..... You will always learn something new about yourself. I am not going to tell you everything, because life has been and will be great for you. Believe in yourself, as you always have, and stay close to your friends and family. Life will throw you surprises, but you will know what to do. Good Luck!

Contest

My husband and I are having a contest. We are both trying to take better care of ourselves, but we needed a little motivation to keep us going. R is trying to exercise and loose weight. He is doing a great job at it. So, I told him for every ten pounds he looses, I will reward him. (We are still trying to decide to reward.) Me, on the other hand, well, I am trying to test my blood sugars more often. I have become a little relaxed since I have had children. Teasingly I said, "You should pay me." To which my husband replied, "DONE!" So for everyday I test at least 4 times, and they are no higher than 200 and no lower 60, I get paid. Funny! We started yesterday, and I am already making money! HA! The goal really is to get me back into the habit, but I might as well have a little fun while doing so.

House Cleaning

So, I woke up a little late one morning this week, and had one hundred things to do in and out of my house. I was just going to ignore my house, and go run my errands, then come back and clean. Well, then I get a phone call. My cousin, who I adore, was coming over to drop some things off. So I quickly, started my dishes, and picked up a few of the kids toys. I got most of the dishes done before she came, but was still feeling embarrassed when she came in. My house was dirty, and cluttered. If I ignore my house for even one day, it looks as though a tornado hit it. I must say though, there is no one I would have rather come to my house that day. My sweet cousin, knows what my days are like, and she has two kids as well. Then, after she left, I got the urge to clean. So my house looked great by the afternoon, and I even managed to clean out my pantry. Why is it that after someone leaves you feel the urge to clean more than ever, then you feel like calling them and saying come over now?! Too funny. Does anyone else ever go through this? Or am I the only slob?
