Cupcakes

Here is my daughter creating a cupcake with her Cupcake Maker. She decided to make a red velvet cupcake with strawberry frosting. (That is a lot of red dye.) Still, it takes about 2 minutes from start to finish. She loves it, and feels grown up. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for giving it to her.

SHAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRK!

This year they invited the younger boys to participate in the Derby. The hope was to get the boys excited to join Boy Scouts. Well, it worked. Here is the first of many Pinewood Derby cars. It is a shark. My boy was fifth overall, and received the award for Most Artistic. Way to go Bud! I can't wait to see what you come up with next year.

She thinks my tractors sexy....

Yes, that is Rocky driving the tractor. I never thought I would see the day! HA! We tore out our front lawn, well, crabgrass and dandelions, and now we are starting over. Our neighbors kindly let us use their equipment. It's all who you know, right? Still, I never thought I would see him driving one, and enjoying it. Especially when he used to wear sweater vests when we were dating. I love you babe! Nice work!

Oh what do you do in the summer time?

Summer time at our house officially starts today. Here is what we have planned. Since I love schedules, and my kids do as well, we set apart certain days of the week for certain activities.
Monday- Picnic at a park, library
Tuesday- movie day ( in our area there are free movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
Wednesday- Water
Thursday- Arts and crafts, cooking school
Friday- Kids choice, followed by movie night
Saturday- Family
Sunday- Church, family
Of course no day would be complete without reading time, and summer journal-ing. And our schedule can change with friends, and other planned activities. My kids really enjoy knowing what the week holds, so I make a weekly calender as well. Happy to summer to all!
