Welcome to the Valentine's Day Restaurant. For our special day we decided to carry on a tradition that my parents started. We invited the kids to the restaurant. They waited on the couch until there was an open seat. We gave them menus and coloring pages. The waiter brought out water and took theirs orders. Little R played along but M not so much. When they were served, the chef came out and asked if a gentleman could come and join them. The waiter turned into their dad and joined them for dinner. That is when M finally understood what was happening. It was great. Both kids want menus at every meal now. I finally joined them, and sat down and apologized for being so late for dinner. My son replies, "It's okay mom. How was your food party?" Ha! What a kick. Anyhow we had a ball, and will definitely do it next year.

Definatly a fun idea for next year! Or maybe a birthday? hummmm.... love that they want menus :)
